Collection: Gemstones

Our collection of gemstones from the region are available loose or mounted. Alexandrite, once reserved only for the Tsars, is occasionally available in it's rare and expensive natural form and is also always available as it's more affordable lab-created synthetic. 

Original Russian Alexandrite and Demantoid are currently difficult to obtain. However, our stones are sourced from Thailand. Bangkok is a center for synthetics that have identical chemical structure to natural stones, but are grown in a lab. While natural stones have the appeal of being more rare and unique, lab-created synthetics reduce many of the environmental, social and political issues that can arise with mining in some areas. 

We carry only natural gems and lab-created synthetic stones. The type of stone is clearly disclosed with each item. We do not carry any imitations at all.
